Moving Posters

An inspiring, peaceful event concept designed for astronomy enthusiasts, this project combines illustrated vector graphics with soft motion to create a calm experience. Inspired by Seven on Youtube, I focused on smooth easing, color gradients, and refined the typography to match the theme. As my first motion-heavy project, it involved a lot of experimentation and iteration, strengthening my motion design and technical skills.

Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro

Design & Motion Workflow

I started by sketching the illustrations in my sketchbook, then digitalizing them on Adobe Illustrator, animated them in After Effects, and assembled the final piece in Premiere Pro.

Learning & Refinement

This project taught me more about motion graphics as I refined motion details such as the rocket’s easing and smoke trail through trial and error. I also learned how to better utilize gradients in my designs and refined my typography choices to improve visual cohesion.

Testing for larger screens.

After reviewing the animation on a video wall, I made final adjustments for clarity and legibility, resulting in a cohesive and polished outcome.
